GS 400 Ignition Key
I just bought the car and it came with a single key that operates the ignition and the driver's door lock. In order to lock the car, I have to manually lock both passenger side doors and then use the key to lock the driver's door. Doing this also locks the driver's side rear door. Is this normal? Thanks. BTW, it was a bit of a shock to find out that it costs $200 to have a spare key made.

It usually means you have a bad lock actuator on the doors that won't lock...common problem with the 2GS. Yes, a master key is expensive. They key itself I think cost me $60 but the dealer has to program it for the car.

Thanks much. Makes total sense. Just wanted to make sure that there wasn't some trick to getting the passenger side doors to lock. I'm getting a spare key because I'm paranoid about the original key breaking off in the lock. After all, it's been in use for 19 years.
BTW. You'll laugh, but "Ghost Dog" brought me here
