Default Oil Pan Gasket

How involved is it to replace the lower oil pan gasket on a 2002 GS300? What could I expect to pay a shop to do the work?

If I remember correctly, you have to lift the engine to get to the bolts on the pan (bad design). I had a mechanic friend say he'd do it for $100 bucks. I would expect about $150-$200 at a shop.

On the GS4 you have to lift the engine like mentioned above. I'm not sure on the GS3.

I think, first wash motor down there, and then will see whats leaking exactly.

I did mine recently to install my turbo oil feed. It's not hard with the proper swivel socket. You need a 10mm 1/4" drive swivel like this:
https://www.amazon.com/GEARWRENCH-80256-4-Inch-Drive-Socket/dp/B001LDJD4E/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=10mm+1%2F4+swivel&qid=1601643615&sr=8-2 https://www.amazon.com/GEARWRENCH-80256-4-Inch-Drive-Socket/dp/B001LDJD4E/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=10mm+1%2F4+swivel&qid=1601643615&sr=8-2

I didn't have to lift the engine or anything. You will also want a good scrapper and wire brushes with enough reach to get all the old sealant off. Also, there is no gasket, you just want to clean the heck out of both the engine side and pan and re-silicone it. One thing to consider is that I did new engine mounts last year and the engine is sitting high and proper. So if you have blown or squished mounts, you may not have the room needed.
