🏳(HELP) 2jz Engine swap🏁 :Transmission won't engage!
Any Pros out there! Swapped my 2000 GS300 Engine with 2001 IS300 Engine (2JZ). Currently at a standstill...the engine swap went great.. Motor is running like a top but I cannot get the original GS tranny to work.. I'm getting a P500 speed sensor code, VSC light is on VSC off light is on. The tranny will engage every now and then just for a moment like 30 seconds then will stop. Changed fluids, Changed both speed sensors, changed Tfluid, shorted e1-tc together on diagnosis port pumped brakes trying to clear VSC light. Still nothing. Please HELP!! before i drive my self to the loony bin!!

Thanks for the reply..
question:
the old 2jz gs300 year 2000 is the exact same as the installed 2jz which came out of a 01
IS300. I'm using my gs300 wiring harness on new motor along with the gs ecu along with the original gs transmission.. any thoughts?

FYI the original motor piston 5 seized up and was in limp mode do you think I need to reset something that I'm not mentioning.. I'm stumped.. I know the transmission worked even when the engine blew..

The original motor was Factory GS300 2jz. I currently have the new motor in and running perfect out of a 2001 IS300 2jz. The engine is installed and is running perfect. I reinstalled my GS transmission onto the IS motor. But I can't get the transmission to engage like I said it will come on for like 30 seconds and throw a p500 code speed sensor. My Vsc lights stay on. I'm missing something here like a reset I don't know?

They're both 2JZ, but sounds like you swapped the GE from IS300 to GS300. Are you using just the motor or transmission too? Did you swap the ECU?
If using same ECU and transmission then I would check the wiring, maybe something wasn't plugged in or there's a short somewhere.

Yes.. I'm using the IS motor with my GS Transmission, GS wiring harness, and GS ECU..
My VSC off and VSC light stay lite up. Maybe it's one of the solenoids. Does any one have the documents for PIN Diagnostics for 2000 GS 300 2jz?
thanks for your concerns..

Can you confirm that all plugs going into the transmission are plugged in properly? I think there are two separate plugs to check. If yes, it could be that the 2000 to 2001 ecu harness may have changed slightly and now a couple pins need to be put in different locations.
See if you can find a 2000 gs300 wiring diagram and compare it with a 2001 IS300 diagram.
Also check that you getting a pulsed signal on the vehicle speed sensor pin on the ecu while rotaing the rear wheels

I'm using the Gs wiring harness on the IS engine and GS transmission with the GS ecu.. Engine is running like a top.. I'm thinking it's a solenoid possibly the TC solenoid.. I'll look up the ED on all of them and check it with my meter.. done droped the pan again at 12:21am gotta work at 6:00 am could be a allniter.. Iv got to get this puppy running.. I know it's something silly like always.. man what I would do for a Snapon reader... HERE I SIT, tired and Dirty, Trying to Ride this Lex, Before 5:30...🤘🏼
