What name is the rollover valve sold as? I've checked rockauto and they don't seem to have that name.

Thanks, didn't know there was a fuel tank overfill check valve.

Repeatedly getting CEL code soon after letting the fuel pump automatically fill to FULL (on 2000 Lexus ES300) has
taught me "not" to fill to FULL on Lexus/Toyota cars. Had to replace ignition coil each time.

Thats the issue I am having (00ES300) with gas station pumps, when they stop its way above the full line on the gas gauge, I did change the whole charcoal canister, and just got this code for small gas pressure leak gas tank side.

It's a common problem but hard to pinpoint the exact cause. For my 2000 Lexus ES300,
the mechanics fixed by replacing the ignition coil. But, after replacing ignition coil so many times and
noticing that CEL occurs soon after filling to FULL. I decided to try not filling to FULL. Problem hasn't happened since.

Mechanics say there's no connection but I think there is definitely a connection.
The problem may cause something other than an ignition coil to go bad.

I try not to fill fuel tank beyond 3/4 tank now.

Thanks! One thing I also noticed is that the gas level gauge takes a while to rise. Slowly rises after time. Does this still point to the overfill valve?

Had the P0440, P0441, and P0446 pop up last summer. Turned out to be the hose in the engine pay popped off one of the solenoids. Now it came back on yesterday and it's not the hose under the hood. I'll get it smoke tested next week and pin down what exactly is wrong. I think it's the purge valve on the canister.

There is a lot of discussions on the Lexus IS site and here pointing to the overfill valve. I bought the part, but have not installed it. I've had the P0441 for a while. I replaced the purge valve and nothing changes.

I have checked that engine bay for hoses, only thing that may be related is that the active motor mount was replaced with a standard motor mount. Other wise I replaced the charcoal canister because i had the purge vale and vent valve codes. Replaced with a new charcoal canister (new solenoids included). Now I'm getting the code for a leak in the tank side. Now sure what the heck to do now. I don't know if the ES300 has a overfill check valve?

Try and find a diagram of the ES on lexuspartsnow or mylparts. Maybe that will narrow down the location of the check valve. The check valve is a safety concern so it might be a standard part. Good luck.
