Music keeps cutting out! HELP!
Car Info: 2003 GS300 with navigation and Mark Levinson Radio.
Ive had this problem where I’ll listen to music/radio and after a certain volume it cuts out and comes back and does it again. I have to lower the volume for it not to cut out. I got my subs installed last night and it does the same thing. My cousin told me that my head unit is weak, once I get a new head unit it should work he told me.
if there is any way to fix it please let me know or do I need to get a aftermarket head unit

A common problem with the ML amp is that they tend to over heat. Not sure if that's your issue specifically. May be worth considering upgrading the whole system, but if I recall correctly the ML speakers were 2 ohms.

i have a 2500w amp which is a 2 ohm as well. I’m going to get a aftermarket screen soon so I hope it works

The ML amp is a 5 channel amp. And if I am correct about the speakers being 2 ohms then the amp is able to handle that impedance.
When you change headunits you need to make sure the output is able to handle 2 ohm load or else you'll need to either run different speakers or a separate amp to power those speakers.
