After replacing the door lock actuator on the drivers door the car now can't tell when the door is open. It always assumes the door is closed and I can even arm the alarm while it's open. I checked the connection and everything is in place so the sensor must be bad. I've looked online but can't find the part # for our gen. If someone knows the # or can post a link to it, that would be a life saver!

I know, that's why I'm asking if anyone knows where to get just the sensor. I called Lexus and they said for our cars I had to buy the whole lock assembly. I'd like to avoid that if possible.

I just replaced my entire door panel with one from eBay for about $150 (it was cracking on top due to the sun). I switched out the master lock / door handle and had everything back together in about an hour. I think you can do a search for "lexus gs400 door master switch" and that should give you what you need.
Btw, I've used eBay lots of times in the past with good results. I replaced my interior sunroof switch and the lock mechanism on my glovebox. I just found one that was from a 2GS and swapped them out.
