Default Full Tour & Review: 1998 Lexus GS 400

Hey everyone, I introduced myself in an earlier thread about the options available on the 2GS for a video we were producing on a 98 GS 400. We've published the video this morning, and I hope that A) we've gotten everything correct fact-wise, and B) that it helps people learn more about this car if they're interested in buying one. I started TestDrive almost 2 years ago when I bought my 7 Series BMW. For the better part of a year I was on YouTube every day searching for car videos based on what I was thinking about buying. Some YouTubers covered the cars I had on my list in good detail, going over the interior and exterior features but usually leaving it at that. Others were trying to sell the specific car and filmed the videos on their BlackBerry, making the videos uninteresting or difficult to watch. I decided after getting the 7 Series that I wanted to make videos that could help people who were interested in buying cars to see what they were all about.

We checked YouTube the week before filming this 98 and found next to nothing on there, a couple videos of cars for sale, some VIP treatments, and the rest were 2JZ-GTE swaps, nothing related to good old information about a great luxury car. We had a lot of fun filming this video and I really enjoyed taking it through the twisty roads in our area during the fall months, as I mention in the video I couldn't believe I was racing around in a Lexus. We're hoping to continue a series of episodes on other older Lexus models over the next little while, and I hope it encourages people to consider these cars.

Thanks, I appreciate that! We're really happy to have finally gotten behind the wheel of a Lexus, and we're eager to continue filming them.

Love your videos, especially this one, the e55 one, and the 560SEL one. Have a 1991 with 15,400 miles. Keep doing more "odd ball"
type cars and I'm sure the views will keep rolling in.

Thanks! That was one we were planning to film for over a year, took us a lot longer to find a V12 than we hoped, but it's definitely worth the wait. I'm still impressed with the views we've gotten on it.

The E55 one marked a new era for the videos, it's helped me push the videos to make them feel more like a show than just a video. The 560 was also a lot of fun to do, since we filmed it about a year ago now before we changed up our format, so we wanted to make sure we did it justice.

Glad you liked it, thanks! We're hoping to get behind the wheel of more Lexus models and compare them with the competition. When we have the opportunity to get 2 or more together the videos do really well.
