Wow, that must be nice. Would your dad adopt me!!!

The RSX-S sure looks like a nice car, enjoy it.

BTW - contact your insurance company, get the rate and let your dad know so he'll be prepared. It would be much higher for you than your sister, believe it or not!

My brother-in-law found out the hard way when he thought he was going to pay the same rate as his female cousin. It was more than 50% higher!!! Everything is the same, except one is male driver (50% higher) and one is female driver.

True, but I still know that no one before me has abused the car. I've MET people who lease cars and NEVER change the oil during the entire lease period. They say "hey it's not my car, why should I put any money into it?" Then someone buys this two or three year old "cream puff".

Well, typically, males drive more miles than females...thus a higher chance for more accidents/incidents on the road for guys.

Tranman -

Naw, I think the insurance companies figure that the young male drivers would tend to be much more agressive than female drivers (too much testosterone, trying to prove his manliness, and feeling invincible). Speaking from experience, of course, I scare myself just thinking back at how I drove and rode 18-20 years ago. Amazingly, I survived being all that stupid, not a single crash on my rice burner or any of my cars. Reality has hit now with family, mortgage, kids, bills, etc....................................

I'm embarass to say it but have you seen "Driving Miss Daisy", yup, that's how I feel I'm driving now with the kids in the minivan, life moves at a much slower pace now!!!

Well, when I was 18 I got a ES 300 manual, at the time, best of both worlds. I'd look at getting a manual IS 300. Reliability and fun. RSX while very nice, does nothing for me especially with the 350Z and RX-8, WRX around the same price. Yeah the ES was not as fast and it was deemed an old persons car (the jokes I got driving a manual and a manual Lexus I got, funny how things turn around) but it was dead reliable and the L E X U S seemed to count like 10 extra points (with what I was concerened at when I was 18, chics)

GS 300 is a stunner, it has IMAGE and Presence that many other cars can only dream off. No it's not fast as some others but we don't wanna see ya around no tree dude.

bluelex-sure will!

Tranman-don't u have an Eclipse too?

1Sick-The 350Z and RX-8 are too close to the 30k range with similar equipment, and i forgot to mention the WRX. Hell yea dude can't forget the "Pimp" factor! Well i'll be going to look at the GS sometime soon so i duno yet...

Age doesn't matter its all about what u like either a lil sporty celica type car, or a grown-ups luxury big-dog! By the way, u cant even compare a Lexus GS to those other cars, sounds like ur confused? On the other hand, thats a excellent price for that GS.......

Default GS

Trueno, I bought my Lex when I was 18.
You won't believe the amount of enjoyment I got out of it.
It is the one and only ultimate pimping machine. Your
friends will be giving you props, chicks will want you
to be their baby's daddy
But the most important part is this: there is no replacement for
displacement.
Granted, modding a Lex is more expensive, but you can spend all the
money in the world and the four-bangers will never be as fast
as if you spend 3-4 grand on your Lex.
So if I was you and my dad was helping me out, I'd get a Lex
without any hesitation and then would work my a*s off and modd
it. So I can "smoke" any of my friends on the road while having three
chicks in the car enjoying the plush leather and climate control.
Just ask yourself this question - how many guys/girls of your age
do you know pushing a Lex? That's it... You'll be the one and only.
Good luck, dude whatever you chose. I hope you chose a Lex and
become a part of our family.
