Default Car went dead...momentarily

After parking my car for a couple hours, I came out of my place to drive off. Remote didn't unlock the car. So I unlocked with the key, and everything was dead. No movement from the steering wheel, no lights, nothing. Thought it might be a dead battery or loose terminal, so I popped the hood. Then the stock alarm went off! So I stuck my key in the door to turn it off, and then everything was back to normal. The radio presets were still ok -- the only thing that was off was the clock.

No signs of any attempted break-in. I hope this is just an isolated quirk, but still...very strange.

Any input? My car is an '01 GS3.

make sure you have a secure connection with your battery terminals

Clean your battery terminals, check your alternator and resecure all your electrical connections on the battery side.....

nah, that never happened to me. the dang thing just up and went dead. i guess workin'
on the car with the sound system blaring for 6 hours may have been to much for the o'l
battery. ya' think?
