Angry Took 3 tries to find a radiator that fits the GS300

Just an FYI for anyone who needs to replace their radiator. I did mine this weekend as the upper inlet neck broke Thursday resulting in the upper coolant hose coming off.

1st radiator: Mishimoto radiator I ordered off Amazon. This thing is closer to a trapezoid than a rectangle. One side was very noticeably welded/attached at greater than a 90 degree angle. This made the whole radiator crooked so that when I put my fan shroud on it, lining up either the top or bottom mounting holes made the opposite end off by almost an inch.

2nd radiator: A Spectra I bought from Auto Zone. It's about 3mm shorter than my OEM radiator so there was no way in hell my fan shroud was going to mount against it properly.

3rd radiator: O'Reilly's Murray brand. This ended up being the winner but still was not a perfect fit. I had to dremel part of the center of the lip of the fan shroud in order for it to fit against the radiator. Note: the actual part number on the box is the same as the Spectra so I wonder if it's the same supplier. It looked identical to the Spectra in pretty much every way including being slightly shorter than OEM. It doesn't contact the upper radiator clamps as well as the OEM one does but it's enough to get by.

Suffice to say, I was NOT happy rushing around trying to find one that fit on a Sunday. I had to fix my car this weekend so I can get to work tomorrow so I needed parts ASAP which is why I didn't wait and order a better name brand or OEM radiator.

I got a Koyo oem one from eBay for $144.00 shipped perfect fit.
I hate getting wrong parts, added downtime and extra work, glad you got it running though.

It's been while but I think I used a Koyo too. My radiator cap did not fit but it was probably better I bought a new one anyways..

Yup third vote for OE Koyo replacement. Get one and be done with it. Great quality and competitively priced.
