Tinting Questions

California law on tints looks 2b the same as NY/NJ so in my opinion considering the color of ur car go with 35% on all windows, and 20% on the rear it gives the entire tint a really nice look, not too dark not too light just perfect trust me.....Also, 4get tinting the windshield, not only is that going 2far, but now ur looking for tickets.....

Here are numerous links with the window tint laws for every state. The first one is from the International Window Film Association.

I have 20% tint all the way around. The typical percentages are 5% (limo), 20%, 35% and 50%. I used to have 35% on my last GS but this time I wanted darker and I'm very happy. If you don't have the stock navigation system then get metallic tint. It will last longer and it won't fade. Prices can vary from about $125 to $250, at least that's what it was in NY. If you get the Lexus dealer to do it, it will be between $400 and $500 since they just hire a guy and double his price. Here are links to 2 of the largest tint manufacturers.
