You can can clear those older tail lights yourself. The How To has been posted several times. Try searching under BananaGS posts for one.

To my knowledge, DIY Clearing of the 2001-up taillights has yet to be proved do-able. I sure tried. And with the price that JP is charging, I just might give it another shot.

I saw that clear tail light on ebay and was wondering if anyone knows whether there is such a JDM product or if that is a custom clearing? I see the seller is also selling a chrome grill. I checked the items he purchased in the past and he's bought an OEM non-chrome grill and a set of 98-00 tail-lights, so I'm wondering whether he just customized it himself.

This seller has bought 98-00 taillights from the CL Classified section in the past too. You can draw your own conclusions, but I suppose you could always just ask the seller that question directly.

Actually, that's the price for the trim around the light. The actual taillights are 135,000Y which is about $1138USD...shipping not included.
