I have a 1999 gs300 with a leaking rear out drive on the driver side. Looks like i have to replace the seal. Is it a unbolt from differential pull seal and put new one in?

tks for any info

If it were me I would drop the diff unless you have a lift. The axle seals are internal on these diffs so you'll need a way to pull the flanges off then replace the seal.

Im going to get another rear diff because the car was sitting for years before my boss sold it to me. I just need to know what are the things called that the axles bolt up to on side of the diff, because i need to find a diff with those already installed so all have to do is bolt axles to it without going inside?
tks for any help

The axles on this car don't go into the diff. They bolt up to the flanges on the side of the diff. All diffs for these cars have the flanges already as they make up part of the seal. Changing out the diff for a new one is not hard. You'll need a 10mm hex and an impact to get out the axle bolts unless you have a way to stop the diff from rotating. Also when you get a new diff make sure you buy a GS300 diff and not an Aristo or GS4xx since the axle flange is a different size and won't bolt up unless you swap it
