Found out Spectra Mica Blue was available on 98's and 99's.

Was it available on 2000's?

Yep - The Library here at CL, which you get by becoming a paid member, states that 98 & 99 were the only years that the SMB was available as a stock color

so what is the blue called for the 2000+ models? the blues all looks pretty similar...and is this the SMB the same for some of the IS I've seen on the roads?

Spectra Blue Mica was available in 2000 (well at least in Canada) I had to special order it (Took 3 months to get) and from what I was told it was only 1 of 4 made for this country but i'm sure you could get a 2000 GS in the states with SBM colour on Tan, Grey or Black..

Yep, mine is a 2000 in Spectra Blue, it was special-ordered by the original owner with Grey leather.

It's funny, mine was originally purchased from Longo Lexus in El Monte (near Los Angeles), but it 'lived' in Phoenix until I bought it (the orifginal owner is the son of the founder of Swift Transportation, based in Arizona)... now it is 'home' in California again!!

I have a Blue Onyx Pearl on my 2002 GS. Its a very dark blue color, it looks very nice.

Re-reading the Library, it was available until 2000, then the "Blue Onyx Pearl" took its place

thats what i thought that 98 and 99 a lot were availble but not sure on 2000's, great color tho , at least i think so.....
