I wanted to go with a staggered look, but the Enkei Enzos I wanted to buy only comes with the 8.5 width. Can I fit a 265 or 275 in the rear with the standard 245 in the front?

Hold on...on an 8.5???

I really want to go with a 275/35-20 Michlen Pilots in the rear with the 245/40-20 in the front.

Would this look right?

let me check a tire calc for the propor size aspect ratio, here it is:

right now you have 235/45/17

with 275/30/20 your spedo would be %4.6168 too slow and the overall diameter would grow about 1 inch as well.

your speedo's going to need re-calibration with this setup

with 265/30/20 its %3.68 slower and the overall diameter is only 0.9in bigger.

with 245/30/20 its %1.81 off (doesn't matter though cause it measures speed off rear wheels) and only 0.4 in bigger diameter than your 17s

with 245/35/20 its %5 too slow, and 1.45in too tall

my suggestion would be to go with 265/30/20 and 245/30/20, get your speedo recailibrated and lower the car. the rear tire walls would be a litte bigger which would look cool, and you car will have a steeper stance (more pointed downwards) that is, if you notice it, it will look really cool though, but you definatly would need a speedo reset, but i dont know if 265's will fit on an 8.5" i'm pretty sure they will, i doubt 275s though

this tire comes in 275/30/20 and 245/35/20 the two sizes you shouldn't get, about the other sizes, i can't find tires for those sizes!

Alright...

My car has the Goodyear GT+4 tires stock, which are 225-55-16. From Goodyear, the overall diameter is 25.8".

I am going to go with the 245 in the front and 265 in the rear. I will just have trouble finding them.

What do yo'all think about these wheels with some Teins? Do you think they are sporty enough?

Thanks again

Default 1SICKLEX, I'm here to save you!!!

SASHA'S NUMBERS ARE WRONG!

Hehehehehe...but not by much...you need to divide by 2.54 to convert centimeters to inches...it looks like Sasha used 2.5...2.54 is much more accurate and you'll see on some of those number that it'll make a good difference....

Also, another thing that you have to consider is that the GAIN (like being 1.45" too tall) needs to be divided by 2 to figure out much you gain on EACH SIDE of center...in other words, the 1.45" gain is an DIAMETER GAIN...the RADIUS GAIN is only 0.725"...you're car will sit 0.725" higher off the ground and your tire will sit 0.725" further up into your wheel well...

I'm running:
Front - 245/35/20 on a 8.5" rim
Rear - 275/30/20 on a 9.5" rim

Here's a picture that MIGHT expalin...please, no critics on the artwork...it was quick and dirty...

I'd be surprised if 265's will fit on an 8.5" rim.

Mike - What's the point in doing staggered tire sizes without staggered rim sizes? I realize in your case you can't do staggered rim sizes, so I'd go with 245's all around.

This is true, but I may be losing myself with making the car look sportier. I wanted to go with the teins and blitz or greddy exhaust, just don't know if the wheels can pull the look off?

What do you think?

Here is the pic of the wheels again:

How's a 255 all around?

It's final I think...

245-35-20....wide enough...even for a future body kit?

On the 20x8.5
