Default P1351 and VSC VSC Off GS400

So I had the P1354 CEL and VSC VSC Off come up around 3 weeks ago, my alternator failed right then, and I had it replaced and then a week later I get a p1351, VSC, and VSC off come on again. The P1354 hasn't come back, but am I right in assuming if both of those codes appear in similar proximity that I need to change the OCV solenoid?

Regardless, I've already ordered a pair and I plan on attempting to change them, however when I tried to clean the passenger side I found that there was something in the way, which I've circled in the attached photo. I'm not particularly car savvy, but I've changed the oil and spark plugs before and I want to know if this is something I should tackle myself or have my mechanic do, at least for the passenger side.

Your on the right track, NICE SUPER CHARGER!...anyway, by unbolting your throttle body assembly and moving it out of the way you will find room to remove the passenger side OCV.
You will need to remove that cool looking intake tube, connectors, throttle cable and maybe a couple of coolant lines.

It's up to you if you want to DIY or have your mechanic do it. I'll post some FSM diagrams if you want to attempt.

Good luck

LMAO I wish that was mine but that's just the first picture I found on Google of an exposed 1uzfe to indicate what was in my way. I'll likely tackle the removal of the throttle body myself, just hope nothing catches me off guard because I'm really not experienced enough to be able to stop myself from making dumb mistakes.

Update to this thread, I've changed both the passenger and drivers side OCV valves and the lights have persisted. I suspect the code is related to the cam gear as other research on the internet shows. This is consistent with a change in the engine sound that sounds almost like a knock or piston slap. I would describe it as the same sound a lawnmower engine makes, and my best guess is that my mechanic screwed up my timing belt change many months ago and the passenger cam gear is now damaged. I'm unsure exactly what I'll be doing but it seems the engine noise is getting worse but otherwise drives perfectly with no roughness at all.

im currently having the same issue. What can I do to fix it . Is there anything I can even do or do I have to replace the whole engine ? :/ thank you

Before replacing the OCV, I have had great luck by doing an engine oil flush, which is a product that is basically pure detergent, you can buy at any parts store. You just need to add it to the engine oil and let the car idle for 15-20 minutes. The do an oil change and replace a quart of oil with a quart of ATF. ATF is basically oil with a lot of detergent in it, so it can continue cleaning the entire engine of sludge and carbon build up. This is something I do to all my cars about every 4th or 5th oil change to keep the internals clean.
You’ll need to reset the codes and then drive it like gently for 3000 miles then change the oil again. I solved these codes on my GS400 about 5 years ago and I recommended this it to several people and it’s worked everytime. Just make sure to use a quality oil and keep up to date on the oil changes and you shouldn’t get these codes anymore
