Default A/c diag code 3?

If anyone can help me with my 2000 GS 400 with the a/c. Here is the scenario, i was driving with the a/c on the highway and i heard a click some where in the car and the a/c started to blow warm and a/c light blinking. I have a new oem a/c compressor along with oem clutch and coil. I already replaced the a/c relay on the passenger side in car junction box along with the a/c blower transistor and a/c blower motor. Still no blower motor function. I did the diag by holding the a/c recirc button and the code displayed is 3. What is a code #3 because it is not listed on the diag trouble shoot codes? I checked all fuses and all are good. Any suggestions or something i missed would be appreciated. Thanks!

Update:
I took the car to a lexus dealer and they are telling me to replace the transistor again before they can further diagnose if the a/c amplifier is bad. Is there a fuse or relay for the a/c amplifier? they are telling me the a/c amplifier is $900 just for the part and does not include the testing or install! Is there a fuse or relay for the a/c amplifier? where is the location of the fuse or relay for the a/c amplifier? Where is the a/c amplifier located? Further help with this matter is greatly appreciated!

the dealer told me that there is no power going to the transistor, so what fuse or junction can i check that provides power to the blower transistor? does that give the error code 3? please help? i would really appreciate more input or suggestions. thank you

I think its on the condenser. I don't know where that switch is in relation to the transistor, but if its before the transistor, that definitely could be a cause. However, I'd believe that would be a something they would check.

Answer me this though. Why are they telling you to replace the transistor if they're saying there's no power going TO the transistor? That doesn't make any sense. Its like saying, change the light bulb on your ceiling because there's no power going to it The problem is whatever is sending it the juice. I'll see if I have the schematics for it, that'll make it easier for me.

I forgot to throw it out there... Why not just get a used on for $50? Cheaper to just swap the amplifier on your own than paying a ton of money trying to figure it out. Just throwing it out there.

Well I assumed that code 3 was for the amp. After looking them up, they are 2 digit codes, not single. Do the test again:

Code - Meaning

00 - Normal

11 - Open or short in room temperature sensor circuit.

12 - Open or short in ambient temperature sensor circuit.

13 - Open or short in evaporator temperature sensor circuit.

14 - Open or short in water temperature sensor circuit.

21* - Open or short in solar sensor circuit.

22* - Compressor motor locked. And/or, open or short in compressor lock sensor circuit.

31 - Open or short in air mix damper position sensor circuit.

32 - Open or short in air inlet damper position sensor circuit.

33 - Open in air mix damper position sensor circuit. Or, open or short in air mix servomotor circuit. Or, air mix servomotor locked.

34 - Open in air inlet damper position sensor circuit. Or, open or short in air inlet sensor servomotor circuit. Or, air inlet servomotor locked.

* - These are detected only when they are the current troubles. Other codes detect both current trouble (beep) and past trouble (no beep).

Well after searching profusely, I did run a cross a mercedes benz thread stating that code 3 was for the sensor as I mentioned. I dont know if the codes are interchangeable. You might want to ask what that code is in the Lexus Adviser Forum on here.

When it is showing 3, are you sure you are not setting the sensitivity on the auto air recirculate feature?

You can change the default sensitivity of the of the carbon filter from 0 to 3(most sensitive) to turn from fresh air to recirculate. This is in the manual...while the car is running and in park, press and hold down the auto/fresh/auto button until a number pops up in the AC display. Use the AC temperature control button to move it up from 0, 1, 2 or 3.

If the a/c pressure switch was bad, i would still have blower motor function, correct?

Yes the blower fan will still work.

When it is showing code number 3 and if you use temp control button, does it change from 0 to 3?
