Default Fan Assembly or Motors + Fans (Thoughts?)

I am not sure if I should buy a Dorman radiator fan assembly for $311.99 (AutoZone w/lifetime warranty) or step it up and get OEM parts from Lexus for $600 (2 fans/2 motors)?

My passenger radiator fan assembly is making a wobble noise as the vehicle has 306,000 miles. Anyone have any feedback on the Dorman radiator fan assembly?

I would suggest picking up the parts from a donor car at the Pick A Part if able. Your OE fans made it to 300K. The Dorman Chinesium fans will be lucky to make 50k from my experience. Bring a 12/18 volt LiOn battery to the PAP and test before you buy. Even if the PAP donor has 200k mileage you will get 100k miles out of the parts most likely at a much cheaper price. From my experience with Chinese/Dormapn cooling fans the motors are crap, and will crap the bed way before mid mileage used OE. If you don’t have time or desire the PAP purchase check Ebay. Less than $100 shipped OE fan assembly or local LKQ yard will have your part with a warranty for 90 days most likely. $60 at my local PAP for your 2fan assembly complete.

Thanks for the feedback. I decided to go with OE parts from MyLparts ($560). Yeah, I just couldnt get around to trusting Dorman. I bought a Dorman MAF sensor from RockAuto and not even a year had passed and it crapped out. I couldn’t figured out the issues because I knew the MAF was brand new. Long story short, I towed the car to the dealer and it ended up being a bad MAF. Cost me $800 bucks for labor, new OE MAF and diagnostic. Lesson learned.

I needed to hear another bad Dorman review to help me make my decision.

Thanks again!

I avoid doorman as 99% their products just do not last that long.
