Default Might buy a 01 Gs300 L-Tuned; but is it worth it? (Pictures Included)

I found this car at some dinky dealership. Guy is asking $3,100 obo. He dropped the price to $2600 after I offered $2200.

The car is pretty clean minus the rear passenger side wheel wheel, there's a little rust developing.

The car runs like it's on 3 cylinders, foot to the ground and no power at all. No cel is on either.

Pros;
Rare L-Tuned (all original even with the label on the door sills)
150k miles
White

Cons;
Above the window, it's leaking water from the upper interior part. (It was raining and we caught this, it just constantly drips)
In limp mode hardcore
AC doesn't work but it blows fine
Arm rest is trash and the driver seat has a big rip

I am considering on buying this because I feel like I can get it cheap and I have never, ever, seen an original L-Tuned GS for sale. I've seen sportdesigns but no L-Tuned.
My dad drives an 03 GS sportdesign and I once owned that but gave it to him and now looking for another car.

Am scared that it could be a big money pit but want your experts help.

Thoughts?

It may be a money pit!

Get an obd reader and check out for faults, maybe the CEL isn*t working. Sensors are cheap, so it might be just a knock sensor, o² sensor, MAF or even just bad fuel. You might want to disconnect the battery to see if it stays in LIMP mode.

Every photo except the driver's seat. This car is garbage. I would stay away.

I would avoid it. Looks like a different shade of white in the hood/front upper bumper when compared to the driver fender.

Thanks to everyone who commented. I would multi-quote but not sure how to. Going to pass on this, too many issues and too many questionable things going on with that. Rare or not, I'd rather get a sportdesign with saddle seats anyway lol. Feel as if this car could be a potential lemon, too.

this car is far to old to be a lemon...but I get what you're saying.

I would steer clear! Nice rare car, but not worth all the trouble. I would imagine you're in for a rough ride just looking at it on the surface.

What city did you test drive this in? I'm gonna guess chicago, I test drove possibly this exact one around fall 2018.

you should pass on this one and keep an eye out for a GS430 L-Tuned instead

I reckon after almost three years, they're not still thinking about it.
