i know it will reset the computer and make the car relearn your driving habits, but what about the stereo/nav settings?

i have altered my nav and stereo settings (output levels/nav tracking)- are they reset to factory after I undo the battery ?

thanks !

I was thinking about the NAV also. I can easily reset the stereo presets but I was worried about all my marked points in the NAV.

However, I think that those should be saved in the NAV computer.

Do you need the radio code if you unplug or change out the battery?

Yes, I believe the NAV presets are stored on a hard drive.

All the car will relearn is the short and long term fuel trims. A drive round the block will do that. The car might feel slightly different if it happens to default to a slightly richer mixture during the initial learning process. Save yourself the bother. Driving round the block is quicker than disconnecting the battery. The learning is continuous, nothing is “stuck” in memory and the car has no clue as to what a “driving habit” is let alone learning it! (Perhaps those who claim otherwise can point out the section in the OBD spec that calls out driving habit algorithms).
