Default Need to get some headlights after Mr. Lube

Very upset. Our son heard that Mr. Lube has a product that would make his faded headlights brand new again. I figured after I tried buffing them out myself to no avail I said he may as well give it a shot. Big mistake. Long story short it did nothing after promises to him that it would work. Over the phone AND. after showing them the car, all the promises were to no avail. Im currently in the process of trying to get his money back because of this.

EITHER WAY...he needs lights. Mr. Lube tried to say they were after market lights with means they burn the inside of the lamps. I dont care. I just want a new pair.
Ive seen them on ebay but not with a lot of reviews. I also saw a set on sale but it stated not to be used with HID? I dont understand what lights our sons car has. Any links or areas to check for new lamps please let me know. Im on ebay currently but dont really know what to look for. Thanks in advance.

What year and model is the vehicle?
98-00 GS400 comes with HID standard and GS300 came with HID as an option.
01+ all were equipped with HID.
You need to determine which of the housing have first before making a purchase.

DEPO is a good aftermarket supplier for OEM Style headlights.

the car is a 2002 gs430. I dont know what Hid lights mean. In my opinion they look the same as any other lights. How would you know anyway?

You have HID lights which means the bulbs run off a ballast at about 20-25,000 volts. They're going to be more expensive than standard lights. Also is the problem that the lights are faded and yellowed? If everything else about them is working sanding them and spraying with a clear coat will make them like new

that isn't necessarily true. The clear coat will eventually chip off, revealing the sanded coating underneath. Just a band aid

Properly applied clearcoat shouldn't chip off unless something physically damages it.

The main issue is that if plastic lense is oxidized all the way through, no amount of sanding will make it crystal clear.
