Default best hid for 2003 gs300?

Looked around and finding alot of different stuff. I have an 03' GS so I have the oem hid. Looking for bright bulbs is all, prefer just plug and play.

Have LEDs for fogs which are awesome but the low beams are bad now. Just want something really bright.

Ideas?

These will probably give you the best pang for your buck. Philips is stock but they're $85 vs $50 and they're not brighter.

Also best place to post this would probably be the lighting section.

Are they the original bulbs in that '03? If so, you might just need to get yourself a fresh pair - HIDs will dim with age, like any other light. You can find D2R HID Bulbs in lots of places, and if you want the brightest you want to stick with the lower colour temperatures. For sake of argument, the stock bulb is almost always rated 4300K - going further up the colour scale will lose you some light output at each step, but if the bulbs are just really old and dim, you might even get more light out of a higher colour at this point.

thanks for the post man! you think the $60 set on the link you provided would be a good fit?

i believe you're right, the lights are fine and original in the GS but it's losing color and just old.

As long as the bulb is a D2R it will fit stock HIDs on your car

As far as I know, your GS 300 does not have any HID setup from factory. Only the GS430 has the HID setup. The bulb type for the GS 300 is 9006.

Yes, they are a D2R spec HID bulb so they will work with any D2R HID system. We offer a standard Philips 4300K option and our own Xtreme HID brand D2R HID bulbs.

I haven't purchased bulbs in a while but the osram cbi's were the best on the market. I have a pair and they are awesome.
