Default Got a big problem, lost my key FOB

Long story short my key fob came apart and I lost the inside of it. The inside meaning the buttons, battery, etc.

I still have the key but the car won't start without the inside piece. Some kind of security feature. Any routes to take this? Could I just order another FOB? From what I've read you can program a new FOB as long as you have the master key

all good. Go to
https://www.remotesremotes.com/product-p/L_1512V-4BTN-KEY.htm?gclid=Cj0KCQjwvLLZBRDrARIsADU6ojDqtav5ameUcd5cMIBX9ZglHjj9LHvR0HDhodPvDXi3uodzZbVqfv4aAnW7EALw_wcB#Header_ProductDetail_ProductDetails

Get it cut at the dealer and follow the programming instructions. You can find how to program on these forums. That master key works for my 2000 gs300.

How much do you think it would cost? I was just on that website

My question is, could I just reprogram it using the old key? All I wanted was the remote piece.

Thansk for the help!

The immobilizer chip is located in the remote pod that you lost, that's the big problem. Your possible solutions available depend on the answers to the questions below.
Do you have another key or is that your only one? If that's your only key, then what year is your GS?

they charged me 25 to cut it. The key was like 25 I think. You should be able to program it yourself in your drive way. That's what I did.
