I have a 98 gs 300 with the check engine light on. I put it on the OBD 2 reader and it comes up with shift solenoid C. I called Lexus to see what it cost to fix it but they told me in their system it doesn't come up as solenoid c .Does anyone know if it's called something different ? Also the VCS OFF/ VCS LIGHT is on also would that b related to the solenoid code?

What is the specific code? Should be a P0700 series if its transmission. And yes, Toyota has always made the other lights come on with the check engine light.
