Speedometer and miles

Speedo is controlled by the ABS speed sensor at each axle. Either one or more has failed or there is something plugged into your OBD 2 port.
My guess is you are ignoring the VSC/VSC off lights on your dash.

You should check your codes. You probably have a VSS vehicle speed sensor oriented code. The most likely cause of this either way is the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission. This is how the speedometer gets its information. The sensors at the wheels are for ABS and wouldn't have to do with the speedometer. What I would do is an Ohm test on the sensor and see if its open (just a dead sensor). I use lab scopes on these to look for wave form, but I know no-one has access to them. Then inspect your wiring as best you can. The less common, but still a possibility, is a bad cluster. But I'm sure the problem is in your VSS.

I think you should start fixing what you know is wrong and go from there. You are compiling issues now in hopes that there is a simple fix for all of them it seems.. If you don't have the equipment or knowledge to test these sensors than you just have to take the car to a shop and have it diagnosed. Id replace the vss and the shift solenoid we talked about in your other post. You can ohm test your wss wheel speed sensors and hope you find an open or one thats greatly different than the rest, I use a scanner to watch individual sensors and look for drop outs. Or a lab scope if that data isnt available to check wave form. But you don't have the equipment. So all we can go off of is your codes and the likely cause.

Could be an issue on the vehicle side, however you can send in the speedometer and we can do a full diagnosis on it to see if there's an issue with it.
