Tell me why
When I bought my car, it didn't come with a CD magazine changer. So I bought one but it would not go in. Something was not latching onto something to go inside. So I bought a used CD player completely factory pioneer. I installed the new one but still the CD magazine will not go all the way inside. What's causing this

The factory CD changer design was changed in the years so you may have a different year CD magazine with a different year CD player or possibly one not from GS at all.
Do you have the CD changer that just pops the CD magazine straight out with a eject button (earlier years) or do you have the CD changer with the double sliding door (later years) that you have to fully slide open for it to eject?

I have always thought that cartridge style changers [late 90's] were non-intuitive to use.
Kind of dumb, but can you please verify the CDs are loaded right ... silk-screen down.
There are arrows on the cartridge to show direction on load.

Just a thought... the drive thinks the cratridge is inserted while the cartridge is physically out of the unit.
Try eject function.
tip from SC forum ... Remove the battery terminal. Hold the eject while some one connects the battery terminal. ... I am getting dangerous here.
