Thanks everyone for the replies! Looks like the Denso one is a fairly safe bet, that or the Koyo replacement which is a bit more money. For sure I intend to do the thermostat, hoses and pretty much any other stuff I can get to at that time.

Hey thanks for this thread. I'm looking for replacement also and I had just posted in one the FB Lexus groups. Amazon had great reviews but some mentioned about fitment issues. Time to start replacing those 21yr old parts..

I recently replaced my original radiator, and was pleased to find there are now All ALUMINUM, polished, 3-row, high flow, direct replacement, radiators on eBay for the 2GS. It’s about half the price of a denso. It was very easy to install, it looks GREAT!, improved cooling capacity, and no more plastic tanks glued onto it.
If your factory radiator is leaking, you just don’t trust a 20 y/o radiator to go much longer, or maybe the 150 shot of nitrous your running causes a high temperature warning light to flash, then this is a pretty cool deal.
Now I wish I could find a polished a/c condenser so the view was as nice through the grill, as it is from the backside.

Dwoods, I saw this one on Ebay also but wasn't sure if those were the correct transmission lines at the bottom. Everything bolts up correctly? Bottom sensor, Tranny lines, and fan holes? thanks

How are the Welds? Any leaks or anything unusual with fitment? I contacted one of the sellers selling this same Radiator and he said some modification needed to be done? Just curious what that was if any. Thanks

They have it listed as the direct replacement for a GS300 with the manual trans, the only difference was that it doesn’t have the trans cooler built in. Everything else hooked up smooth. I was already using a stand alone transmission cooler, I just have the cooler lines go directly to it, instead of to the factory cooler, then to my aftermarket one.
Leaving out the trans cooler gives it higher A/F capacity, and without the hot tranny fluid flowing through, this probably helps keep temps down by a few degrees.
I am very happy with the quality of mine. If I was going to be doing any track work, I would get a custom one built, this was made in China, so I am sure there are some weak links in the welds, since My car will never see a track, This will look good, cool the car quicker than the OEM one, Affordable, and it came with a 10year warranty. So i think has lot of positives
