Default Header information

Im also looking to add new aftermarket headers. Im looking at DNA Headers the price is really low but it says that they only fit the lexus IS300 If both the GS and the IS have the same 2JZ-GE engine why online does it say its not compatible, does anyone know?

Default Header Info reply

Thank you for the info i will look into it further. I just found an OBX header with y pipe for sale on amazon for a little under 400 .Im not sure if it should be able to hook on to the factory catback and muffler part without an issue and if it will. Will i need to get a gasket for that part of the installation? It looks like it only comes with the gaskets for the headers to the block and the headers to the y pipe nothing for the rear connection. If anyone knows please reply I wanna get this build going. Thank you

Members have had poor experiences with OBX in the past. Not as quality made as others like PPE. If you do go with OBX headers perhaps concider changing out your engine and trans mount to avoid cracking them.

I just went with a $75 ebay header and y pipe. You use the IS300 header, and the GS300 mid-pipe if you wan to do that part of the exhaust too. The GS 300 mid-pipe is longer than the IS. But both are the same where the header mounts. But since the IS300 header wasn't meant for the GS, exactly, like others, had to shave down the engine mount bracket. But other than that, it bolts right up.
