Teck Grounding Kit Installed this morning

Received the Teck Grounding Kit yesterday afternoon but didn't get the chance to install it last night. This morning I woke up early (6AM) and decided to install it before going to work. Everything was fine until I reached Point 7 (Throttle part). Had difficulties removing the corner bolt at Point 7 and end up having to remove portion of the intake (took majority of the time).
To give a bit background. About 2 weeks ago I had my both front HID light assembly replaced due to moisture problems. In doing so the technician also had to disconnect the battery terminals thereby resetting the ECU. Because of this I had driven the car for about 2 weeks after the initial ECU reset and remember the symptoms associated with the ECU resets. Today I install the kit and reset the ECU. The car started up with no problem. Had a bit rough idling due to ECU being reset. Let it run idling for a few minutes and it smooth out. Engine warmed up and everything look fine.
On the way to work I notice that as I stop the engine RPM would drop to about 500rpm. This never happen before. It would slowly creep up to about 600-700rpm. Probably ECU relearning process.
One thing I notice that has disappear or reduced is the stumbling problem associated with the TM Plugs.

Well it is too early to tell but so far so good. Need to watch out on the low rpm idle. I will report back after putting some more miles.

Low/uneven idle has often been associated with having the A/C turned off.
I have the Teck kit installed, and I'm absolutely convinced it's made my car run more smoothly and a bit more responsively.

Hi Bitkahuna:
The initial startup was without A/C on. I let it idle for about 5 minute with it off then turn on the A/C and let it run for another 5 minutes.
The low idle happens when coming to a stop is with the A/C on. Guam is too hot and humid to run without A/C.
Just took a spin around town for lunch and the tach dropping to 500rpm while slowing to a stop is still there. While waiting for the light the tach needle would creep up slowly.
One thing for sure the stumbling and little engine shaking problem is gone. The test I did was while in park I would press the gas to about 3000 rpm then let go briefly then quickly press the gas again. When I did this without the Teck Kit the car would hesitate a bit right after and a few days after the ECU is reset. Now I do not have that problem. I do notice shifting to be smoother and throttle response quicker. Worth the $86.50 spent. There is definite improvement.
So far put only 25 miles. This weekend I going cruising to teach the ECU how I like to drive.

I agree with Bit, since my tech kit installation...everything seems a bit tighter.
No RPM lag or throttle body delay. Everything feels so much crisper!!!
The main thing about this kit, is make sure all points are tight and connected securely to complete the "circuit"
Disconnect the negative terminal first before doing anything and only reattach it as the last thing you do. Do not go back and tighten the connections.
The best way to describe the effects of the kit is.....you know when you are driving your car in cold temperatures...everything seems a bit quicker and faster because of the cold air going thru the intake into the engine...makes the car quicker.
Well, I feel that feeling right now even in 100 degree temperature. Can imagine what will happen when I run the car in the winter ....the car will be explosive

I am going to install mine this weekend. Can't wait to feel the increased smoothness in a car that is already very responsive and smooth. I can't imagine what that will be like.............

Today the weather was horrible... RAIN... RAIN... RAIN!!!
Didn't get the chance to do WOT.
Here is a 150 mile update. The low rpm while coming to the stop as the transmission gear shifts is improving. The lowest the rpm goes now is about 600 rpm and quickly move to a steady 700 rpm which is about normal before the Teck Grounding installation. Idle at stop is very, very smooth almost rock steady.
One thing I notice is that now I barely press the gas to maintain cruising city speed 35-40 mph. My right foot is now mostly resting lightly on the throttle pedal. Felt as if there is more low end torque/HP. Downshifting and upshifting is very crisp. Almost no lag. I think the direct grounding to the engine block improves the TM Plugs firing. I can only guess that more energy is available for the spark generation. My previous problem with the TM plugs having rough idles is gone. Hopefully for good.
Highly recommend this cheap modification.

Hi Ballin:
Just notice from your profile that you have a GS300. I do not know of anyone that has done it on a GS300. There are several IS300 owners with the TeckKits (visit www.is300.net). You can probably go to www.TeckKits.com and view the pictures for the IS300 and GS400/430 to figure out the location points.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the kudos on the kit. I've had great feedback on the IS300 kits which we've had available for sometime. The results here do not surprise me at all given the same subtle but definitely improvements we have had with the IS300.
What I'm currently looking for now is a GS300 that I can prototype the kit on. It would probably take me about 2-3 hours to setup a kit for that model and I'm willing to cut the cost of the kit in half to the individual who will give me the time. I'm in the San Diego area. Hit me up on PM.
