Default All Lit Up

I was coming back from Georgetown...had a couple of drinks, nothing to serious....wasn't looking for trouble so I hit the cruise control...65mph. Next thing I know, my whole dashboard lights up...check engine light, VSC, VSC off, gas, the whole nine. My cruise control failed and my engine shut down...at the most perfect spot.... the authorized vehicle only section dividing the highways...all my little 50 friends parked there waiting for speeders. Well I stopped the car, slapped it in park and started the engine, not drawing to much attention to myself, the cops didn't budge, thank God....but my whole dash board stayed lit up.....what do you think is the problem?? Anyone ever have this problem??

Sounds like you may have blown a main fusable link...i.e. like the alternator fuse. That's kinda what happened when I accidently blew the alternator fuse in my Eclipse. It was running all kinds of funky until we traced it back to that.

Once again CL comes through...I guess it was my TRAC fuse, the pink one, took it out and popped it back in seemed to fix the problem. It probably needs to be replaced anyways, does anyone know the best place to get these replacement fuses? BTW they are impossible to tell if they are good just by doing a visual... Thanks again

You were able to start up car up again? That sounds odd.

Trigger and G4Titan are both in VA. Maybe the CIA in Langley is testing a new EMP device.

Default All warning lights on/tight steering wheel/no dash power/heavy brk/car won’t restart.

I just experienced the same problem with Lexus GS350. So all the warning light came on and losing power to the main display while I was driving. The steering wheel got very tight almost impossible to turn. I pulled in the driveway and turn the car off but the steering wheel didn’t retract to the normal off position. I then tried turning it back on but it won’t start. The dash light and the head light came on. So I tried starting it again but the brake locked (didn’t depressed). Still trying to figuring this out. PLEASE HELP!

Hold the brake pedal and the gas pedal floored. Then try to start it. Repeat no starts will foul your plugs up with fuel.

Also try to post in the 3rd Gen GS forums. You'll get better help there. This is the 2nd gen forums.
