Default 98 Lexus gs300

Hi was wondering if anyone could help me out I have a 98 gs300 very low never had any issues with it until I was driving came back home going up my driveway and some how the o2 sensor under the car got caught between the underbody of the car and the driveway pulling the wire the car dies on me all my lights work still cranks but when got caught and shut off on me the security light turns on won’t turn off and on the dash where it supposed to display the gear shows no indicator at all I am completely lost I pulled back the carpet on the passenger side and the sensor wire now is shredded no installation around the wire it self and hangs low I have no idea what to do at this point If anyone has any ideas would greatly appreciated it. Thanks.

The O2 circuit and security feature should have nothing to do with each other.

You seem to have two paths... start by pulling the engine codes, and seeing if you have a valid security key.

Anyway, if you yanked the O2 wire out, you'll either have to rebuild the wire, or just replace the O2 sensor... the car-side of the harness should be fine.

I would replace that whole o2 sensor that got damaged. Also check your fuses for any blown ones as your o2 sensor heater circuit could have possibly gotten shorted out when the damaged occurred.

Bingo, the only explanation here is a short is occurring now that the wires are touching. You must repair the harness and replace the o2. And like mentioned, you probably defiantly have a blown fuse. But replacing it will probably blow again until the issue is fixed.
