Question

Is there a company out there that builds TC for about $600? I don't understand why the prices of Lexus TC are so high... Are'nt you all tired of the price gouging, because of our cars status(a hi-po TC, is a hi-po TC regardless!!!)???

Let me give an example... We have a 98 Corvette and a hi-po TC is only $595!!! that improves 1/4 et, between 7 - 9 tenths!!! The TC offered for the car provides the same day to day feel... Several hundred $$$ cheaper than Lexus, TC's... Maybe as a car club we can get the same company to produce a TC for us at a comparable price...

On one thread some one was getting a TC built by a shop for sround $350... What was the results of that TC in terms of performance, drivability, 1/4 times proven, etc???

Are all the V8 Lexus, TC's similiar in design or are they the same??? If so, some company could produce one for Lexus owners without raping our wallets!!!

I had a '98 Vette and remembered the TC going for about 800 for the Vigilante from Precision Industries. I think the TC for the Lexus are about the same as the vette?

The price is only $595 from Eckler's (www.ecklers.com). As you probably know they are one of if not the #1 preimere parts companys for the Vette... Still much cheaper than $800 - 1000...

I just want one for my Lex at a far price!!!

Yeah, I know the feeling! Check out prices for the TA's and Z28s, much lower for the them. It really should not be that way. Even with the superchargers for the GS. Why can you get a supercharger for a mustang (vortech) for 2,800 and 7,000 for the GS? I know there is R&D, but still. Just my 2 cents.
