Default Will any head unit work?

I know there are ton of aftermarket audio posts, but I guess this is a more general auto audio/stereo question, given that I purchase all the necessary components;I searched the forum, and noticed a majority of people installed a 7" screen setup, and this would be a 10" setup, would it fit into the '99 GS300?

Another general question I had is if a head unit is classified as a "double din" would it fit into any vehicle that allows for the installation of said double din unit, regardless of screen size?

Thanks.

Double DIN refers to the size of the frame of the head unit. From that perspective yes all double DIN units have the same dimensions. Where your unit is a little different is that it appears to extend the touch screen away from the frame and have some options for tilting. So the big question: Will it fit? Yes with the install kit the radio frame will fit. The touch screen will not be flush with the face of the install kit, it will protrude an inch or two from the looks of the Amazon listing you posted. Looks like a pretty cool solution!

Thanks, I kind of had a suspicion it would fit into the slot, but had some reservations about the size of the big *** screen and the protrustion from the center console.

Most of the setups I've seen here in regards to replacing the stock sat/nav unit sat a little too low for my liking, with this unit and its massive screen and the added functionality of being able to tilt. Hopefully it won't make it sitting too low on the center console as bad.

I spoke with another user (SlowSedan) who had an Aristo with sat/nav, which he replaced with an aftermarket unit. He mentioed once I bought the multidisplay climate control, an aftermarket head unit would more or less be plug-and-play. I'm hoping to use the stock subs and amps or whatever, so I'm hoping that this is the case.
