Yes, make sure the pump is grounded, and if it is then try the 12v fuel pump mod to bypass the fuel pump control module. Use the article on the Supra, our cars are similar, I did it on mine. http://mkiv.com/techarticles/12v_mod/12v_mod.htm

98 gs300 car turns over starts for a couple seconds then sputters and dies. I checked for spark which seems normal all the way until car dies. As far as fuel I can not hear pump prime or power up at all. Have 12 volts at the the pump if I jump a ground to the blue with white stripe wire on fuel pump car starts up and idles 1000rpm. With car running engine temp not registering on dash, no outside temp on air controls, ac comp clutch won't engage if I turn ac on, engine fans won't kick on at all and no throttle tps sits at 14.9% until I floor it and I get the engine to rev up only in wot. No check engine light is on the dash and all fuses and relays appear fine. Suggestions?
) and now it cranks no start. However now with the key in the on position we hear the pump constantly whir until you switch the key off. We get it to kick over with starting fluid so we chased more of the fuel side of things. Since the pump is constantly whirring could it be it’s not building up enough pressure? Any ideas are appreciated. Also we checked the gas and let it sit for a couple minutes and no separation happened and even put some sta-bil in the tank to get rid of any water and still nothing.
