Aircon smells

Aircon smells
It's actually been hot enough (33ēC yesterday) in the UK to warrant having the air conditioning on but mine has a nasty musty smell when it's just been started that lasts for about 20-30 seconds. I bought a can of Wynns aircon anti-bacterial treatment which says to set the system to recirc and then aim the nozzle into the recirc inlet vent. I've done this before on my old Civic and also on my wife's Mazda and found the inlet vent pretty easily by removing the glovebox. I looked on my GS300 MK2 yesterday in the place I'd expect to find it but couldn't. Do you have to remove the CD changer?
Then I thought I could maybe remove the dust filter and spray it in there but I was a bit worried about spraying it that close to the fan. Anyone administered this kind of treatment to their LEX?

The inlet is below the glove box compartment. If you want to get really close, open your glove box compartment and there is a removable plastic piece that you can pull out. Once you have that part removed, you should see another plastic "door" that gives you access to the AC filter. You should be able to spray directly in there.
Hope that helps.
