Default wood question....help

i wanted to know if they changed the wood color from the 99's to the 03's and such. i kno that the 2003's have a wood trim called California Accent. is this the same color and same type and such as my car which is a 99 gs400? thanks guys

My impression is that the wood has stayed a Calfornia Burl Walnut with a bit of a reddish stain throughout the model cycle, with two exceptions: the 2000 Platinum Series models have golden bird's eye maple, and the 2002 SportDesign models have black walnut.

They have not changed the wood but I noticed the wood can look very red to almost brown. It depends on where they cut the tree and how old the tree was.

It does look just a little more reddish just a bit but not even noticeable unless u put it up against the other older burlwood!
