I went to roll down my driver side window today and the button snapped off....now i cant roll the window up or down unless i use the key. Just wondering if I could bring it to the dealership and get it repaired under warranty. Its a 2001 gs300 and has 42000 miles on it. Also, I bought the car used off some guy...so the warranty is transferred i hope? Can i just bring it to any lexus dealership or does it have to be where he bought it from? Thanks.

Yes you can bring it back to any dealer and get it fixed under warranty. The car has a 4 year 50K mi warranty. I have brought my used 2001 in probably 8 times since April for all kinds of small stuff. Now it is almost perfect!

Houston GS,
What kind of small stuff that you have serviced for? Can you share it with us? Thanks. I would like to find out what I can do to the car for free while it is still under warrantee.

What kind of small stuff. Hmmm all that comes to mind so far is creaks in the dash board and a little clunking in the suspension. I had them some adustments to settings - like steering tilt when exiting the car (turned that off); unlock all doors when the transmission is placed into park (it used to just unlock the driver door).
Anything that is not right I have them look at it. And they have been great about it. This kind of service is the deciding factor that is going to keep me with Lexus as opposed to Mercedes, BMW, or others.
Lexus cars are argueably equal to the others but the customer care is the deciding factor.
