Default A/C problem

Just bought my gs300 but a/c not working. Freon is filled no leaks. Not sure why when the a/c turns on it blows hot air. The air compressor moves when a/c turns on but I’m not sure if the air compressor is compressing. Before I go out and buy an air compressor can someone help me out on what I should try next?

If you compressor is turning on you might want to check you servo motors for the vents to verify the are opening/closing when changing from HOT to COLD positions.
By buddy has the same issue and it is the servo motors stuck in the HOT open position on both the driver and pass. sides. Occasional they will close and he will get cold air.
He has replacement servo motors but have not replaced them yet.

Can your clarify "servo motor' vs. "actuator". I'm looking to replace my generator (clicks on/off) but even when it's running drivers side is much warmer then the passenger?

Servo motors/actuators = same, there are a total of four.
Temp control, there are two, one each for the driver and pass. side that opens/close the doors to regulate the air temp flowing into the cabin. These normally get stuck in the full open or full close position.
There is one for the MODE that moves the air flow from face to feet, defrost etc., located on the pass. side under the glove box/ashtray.
Then there is one for the RECIR. which is behind the glove box on the pass side. This one rarely fails.
The one for the driver side temp. is under ashtray on the driver side.
New actuators are a bit pricy usually $150. each, you can check and see if you can find the cheaper online. I got mine brand new on sale for $75. ea. from a Lexus dealer in AZ.
They are a PITA to replace and is easier if you remove the glovebox, driver side under cover and center console.
You can also remove them, open them up to clean the contacts and hopefully they will work.
