I was wondering if anyone knows if the moonroof motor in the 01 is300 and 01 gs300 are the same ? Just got my 01 Gs300 last week and my moonroof doesn’t open but I hear it click and it tilts up then down . So idk whether to fix the motor or replace it ? If anyone can help out please

Tilt it and see if you can spray WD40 or something like that on the rails. Let it soak and it might help.

I took my sunroof motor out and cleaned it with rubbing alcohol when mine was sticking. Very easy. Four screws behind the dome light and you can get to the motor.

My sunroof would open but get about half way and stop....as you can image that's not what you want when it's raining lol. As previously mentioned also clean the tracks while you're at it.

Before I forget, years ago I replaced the sunroof switch...however, if yours is clicking that generally means the motor is sticking. Try that first.
