If I am not mistaken it's on the top of the dash near the windshield. You should see little black domes, that's the temp sensor for the inside of the car, should be two of them. One for the driver and passenger side so one can have heat if needed and the other can have A/C on.

Yes, I think that's the Autolight sensor. The problem I have is that in Socal, I set the AC temperature at 80 (yes) degree and it's still too cold for me (don't get me wrong, I am a very sweatly person) I would like to see weather my sensor is broken or not!

What is you guys set the temperature at?

One of the sensors may be the light sensor, but the other I think is the temp, not sure which one. I could be entirely incorrect as well. I keep my A/C set at 74 when I use it during the summer, otherwise my body begins to freeze from the constant A/C, LOL!!!

The inside temp. sensor is located about 3-4 inches right under the ignition switch. If you look down, you will see a 1x1 small vent and the sensor is behind the vent. May be someone removed the buttom cover off and forget to connect the sensor back in.

Like Prost, I have to set the temp much higher than I really want it to be. I like it cold, but I end up setting it at 76 a lot of times, and it is freezing, especially after I cleaned the filter.

is it a new car (relatively new)? though yours is 99 so it's not likely. i am in san jose but often in LA too, and my gs4 i always set it to around 72 or 73 and it's running great. on my is3 though, it's only 4 months old and i always have to set it at 75, or it will be cold as hell

If it's out, then I will get no heat right? Everything is normal, just need to set the temperature at higher rate to be comfortable.
