No, I haven't seen it posted before, but I emailed them about claiming that it's "fake wood trim" and added that they are reviewing a LEXUS not a HYUNDAI and that it is REAL wood trim

Things to note:

0-60 at 6.5 sec (they need to know how to drive a GS properly)

Fake wood trim???

"Even a steering setup that detects when you've sat down and lowers into place to meet you?" (Is this a new feature in the 2003 model?)

Yeah, definitely not driving the car hard at all (6.5 secs 0-60). And I've actually had people tell me that the wood in my car is "pretty convincing for fake wood," so it doesn't entirely surprise me to hear them say that. But all in all it's a very positive review for a model that's pretty much at the end of its run! Entertaining article if you ask me...

What's wrong with the name Tyrone Rodriguez? Did I just see a hint of racism and/or prejudice at play here?

Well, the steering wheel lowers when you close the door...

Well, at least on my 2001, it lowers to the active memory setting when you insert the key in the ignition.

I have mixed feelings about the author's qualification-- as expert in the car trade and his academic background. That's because of the things already mentioned above and quotes from the article I am posting below:

"The two larger outside housing are used for regular HIG low-beams and the interior housings are for driving and high-beam lights."

"GS 430 utilizes a far more power and almost as fuel economic 4.3L V8 engine."

"In fact, the V8 almost beats out the 3.0L GS 300. City fuel economy is 18 miles per gallon and highway sees 23 miles per gallon. The V6 gets the same on the street and only 2 more miles on the highway"

It sounds like these kids have only tested Corollas and Civics up till now. They point out at 3,700lbs the GS is the heaviest car they have ever tested!

Default Better Recognize!!!

Editor says: "Well, it doesn't come cheap, but the $55,000+ Lexus GS 430 is a sexy stallion of a car."
Comment: This guy speaks my mind

Editor says: "There's something that sweeps over you when you drive this beast down the crowded city streets; it's almost intangible, but somehow you know deep in your heart that you are better than everybody else."
Comment: AMEN and another AMEN... I am better than you are...lah lah lah lah lah lah!

Editor says: "Look around the freeway the next time you're stuck in traffic and you'll see hundreds of cars that are trying desperately to be cool. The 430 doesn't try; it's an elegant machine that just is. "
Comment: I'm just cool like that! Cool like that!

We'll go with the nav system, but the Mark Levinson audio leaves much to be desired and makes us wonder why Lexus ditched the Nakamichi stuff.
WTF? Every review I have read praises the ML stereo, saying it's the best stock radio ever. Now I know these kids would prefer a huge bass producing monster, but the Nak wasn't that either. Not sure where they are getting this info, especially if they've never driven an earlier GS with the Nak...
