Default Brake caliper color

Hey Guys, I'm about ready to paint my brake calipers on my 2GS. I'm just wondering what you guys think are nice color options for a silver car. Whats everyone else's caliper colors? I'm leaning towards metallic purple or the more standard bright red color. Any advice is appreciated. Here is my car for reference:

With your wheel choice I wouldn't do red. Bronze, Gold, Copper or Rose Gold would look nice. I think Teal Green could be cool too. Some of those paint colors may be hard to find and maybe spray also.

It's kinda like asking someone what your own personal favorite color is. That's 100% on you. Don't be afraid to go different. The safe choice that everyone goes with is red and black. Looks cool and no one can really bash it. IMO red shouts performance, and black looks sleek. But doing another color shows your own personality. Try to envision what you want your car to look like.

Two words: “G2 Caliper paint”.
(Or is that three words?)

And if you’re really ****, consider “smoothing/shaving” the calipers before you paint em. You’ll get a glossier finish making them even easier to keep clean.

I know it's a matter of personality but I was thinking maybe there were some color ideas that some others have used and maybe people would post pics. I'm leaning more towards metallic purple or red because like you said, it shouts performance.

I got supra front calipers that I had painted yellow with some engine enamel. The original paint with the decal was beginning to rust. Said engine enamel flakes off pretty easily if you bump suspension bits into it, but most paint will from bumping metal on metal.

If its the stock brakes, black or silver. They're nothing special worth accentuating.

The teal would match my toyota teal/blue green engine cover. I might go with that actually. Just considering my options.

Ill 2nd this, and honestly I don't even have the Supra TT calipers painted. But the LS460 calipers going on soon are getting paint red as we speak.

In the end its really to each their own with colors.
