Default 1999 GS300 acceleration delay

Alright guys so I noticed when I'm driving and I'm turning into incoming traffic I floor the gas to get up and go but the only issue I'm having is that when I floor it the car takes around 2-4 seconds before it finally Accelerates. Does anyone have a clue what this might be? I just purchased the car and the maintenance is unknown I just texted the guy to find out. So far the check engine light is on for a O2 sensor and that is coming in tomorrow so that will be fixed.

Default Crankshaft Position Sensor about to fail. It helps to regulate the fuel supply .

Check out the crankshaft position sensor. It may not be sending the right signal to the computer that controls the fuel flow.

Interesting to see how long the code stays away if nothing else. And you mentioned cleaning the MAF too. That never hurts. Not entirely convinced it does a whole lot either, a bit of a forum favourite. But if you're careful it can only be a good thing.
