Does the noise get more pronounced as you turn left or right? You can jack up one wheel at a time and feel for looseness too.

Works best with 2 people. Jack it up and grab the wheel, one hand 3 o'clock and one at 9 o’clock and shake back and fourth. Do the same at 12 and 6. Looseness at 3 and 9 is usually tie rod/ rack related, 12 and 6 is usually control arms and looseness in all positions a combination or bearings. If you hear the noise while spinning the wheel follow the noise Sorry if my info is off or backwards since it’s been a while but that’s why it helps with 2 people.

The wheel shouldn't be able to move when you shake it up and down or side to side. If you can feel movement, there is something loose.
