2JZ Swapped Lexus GS Boasts 850 Horsepower

Looking back: Packing an 854 horsepower, twin-turbo 2JZ into a Lexus GS400 is perhaps the ultimate power move.

 

What a beast! I bought my GS almost 20 years ago. It hasn’t been driven in a while and when I see works of art like this it makes me wanna do something big.

 

I think I must be getting old cuz I just can’t see any practical (is that the right word?) reason to have that much power. I mean, my gs4 is pretty fast at around +- 280 whp and I rarely if ever have enough road to really stretch her out.

Almost twice that amount of power? I just don’t see it. It’d be like having a bazooka, sounds like fun but when/how often could I use it?



Now, where did I put my Geritol?

 

Thats a nicely built one for sure. Nearing my approach to that power level too! Power ins't necessarily about speed. It's the acceleration up to speed that counts. That I like .
