I don't think you wanna know! It was too expensive. The HID kit was about US$400.00 and then my local Lexus dealer charged me over $300.00 canadian to install them as it took quite a few hours. Would I have done it if I had known how much it would have cost in the end? No.

Yes I did swap out the 4100K's for 6000K's but don't have any pics. The car is in storage now, so in a couple of weeks if you remind me, I can send you some.

I agree, 700.00 for fogs is a little steep but as the GS gets more popular on the street, I want that little something that seperates mine from the pack. I think I would buy the kit & lights and do the install myself if its pretty straight forward.

Clean, classy and distinctive.

What do you mean by "the car is in storage"? Do you put it away for the winter? Your insurance company takes care of it when your on vacation? Enlighten me.

Yes, I don't drive the car in our harsh Ontario weather. The car is too special to be subjected to the salt and sand that is sprayed on our roads!

The car is completely covered insurance wise except that I cannot drive it. It comes out of storage on my B-day - April 14th!!!! A gift to myself!

Ooh okay I get it now. I understand. I live in a foggy ocean town and I'm always drying off the car. People think I'm a little ****-retentive about it but I've seen cars completely destroyed by the salt air while my 1994 mitsubishi Galant still shines like it was new It would kill me not to drive my baby for a whole season - how do you cope?

That's a cool gift to yourself!! I bet your driving foot gets heavier over the winter "hybernation"; Any open roads up there in Ontario?

With my GS 300, I leave them on. On my BMW they come off when you restart the car, so I don't bother unless I really need them.

side note- Many German cars also have "rear" fog lights, which is really just another bulb that comes on in one of the brake light housings when you turn on the fog lights. I heard they have problems with severe fog in Europe resulting in big pile-up accidents.

If someone votes in the poll, the thread jumps back to the front. Ya don't have to post anything to move it to the top

Note: I wasn't the one that voted this back to the front.
But....since this is already up on top I just voted fogs on .......carry on

My fogs are always on. I haven't had any complaints from civilians or the police officers around San Jose. If it was a big thing with police around here I would have been stopped already since they hate on japanese imports.
