SoCalSc4's awesome blue GS with 20 inch HRE 841R's!!!

Thanks for the kind words, all! I'm really glad I chose the 841R, it's a unique wheel that doesn't really look like anything else out on the market. The car definitely gets quite a few stares, even here in southern California (where everybody drives a nice car!). My friends all say "that car is way to cool to belong to a white boy." I take that as a compliment, actually!
Specs: Yep, they are three-piece wheels. HRE introduced this series at the SEMA show last year.
The centers are brushed & clearcoated, the outer rims are polished (I opted not to clearcoat the outers- if one of the outers gets a bit of curb rash, we can fix it without removing the tire), and polished & clearcoated inners.
Front: 20x9 with 2.0" lip, clearance for StopTech or Brembo 14" kit
Rear: 20x10 with 3.5" lip, clearance for StopTech 14" rear kit (wink, wink!)
I did a very aggressive rear wheel offset on this car- I wouldn't recommend this, as serious modifications are required. Since this is essentially going to be a show car, I could justify the modifications. The wheels sit flush with the fenders, but they don't stick out (I have other photos that show this in better detail).
GS4fun is almost in the ballpark on price- if you add up the extras like brushed/clearcoated centers & polished/clearcoated inners, the retail price on the set is... well... I think I'll shut up now! Fortunately, nobody pays retail for wheels anymore.
Thanks again for the warm response! As usual, if I can be of service to any Club Lexus members, pleas don't hesitate to ask (Henry, I will hammer Mr. Wallace...)

400DGRZ: Sorry, I wasn't ignoring your question... I just don't know the answer!
I bought the car in Arizona (it was actually puchased new by the previous owner at Longo Lexus here in El Monte, CA), and it seems everyone in Arizona has DARK tint. It has a very slight tinge of grey/titanium color, but is basically dark smoke. I still talk to the guy I bought the car from, so I will ask him about the tint.
Yes, they are as dark as they look in the photos... I will probably have them all re-done a light titanium/neutral color so I don't get bothered by the CHP- and so the girls can see in while I'm cruisin'!
I prefer to do all my windows the same tint- personally, I can't stand the 'limo tint on the rear windows/light smoke on the front windows' look. Also, lighter tint will help to satisfy my commitment to Boston Acoustics when the audio system is complete (remember: show car).
I will PM you when I get more tint details.
Thanks!
Bob

thanks bob, i am sure you know already, anything helps
and yeah, you do NOT want to know the retail price of the 840r series, i fell from my chair when i got the price. but like bob said, you never pay retail for hre, as long as you know the source. if anyone of you like to get hre, you can always ask me. my friend is an authorized hre dealer, he has sold a lot of hre and he has very good prices i can always refer you guys to him

Thanks guys...
Yeah, the Brabus. "Eh hem..." I'll bet they are photoshopped- a 20x9.5 won't go on the front of a GS without modifications to the suspension upright. To be honest, a 20x9 is really at the outer limits of what these cars can handle- I can't even stick a finger between my 20x9 +35 and the suspension.
Also, a 20x9.5 +35 would definitely look more aggressive than that in the rear... not to mention the fact that the Brabus wheels aren't really a good set-up for the Lexus, since thay are 5x112 bolt pattern- you'll need to modify the wheels to even fit a Lexus properly. Not cool.
Park the Brabus wheels next to the HRE- in person, there is no comparison!![

Maybe they are not real Brabus (which only come in 9.5") and German offsets, which are usually in the mid to low 30s- is that about right Bob?
