Arrow 2002 GS300 SportDesign with 90k

Is someone is looking for a lower mileage 2002 GS300 SportDesign in Graphite Grey Pearl Exterior and Black Interior, this AUDI Dealership in New Jersey has a One Owner car available.
So far they have not posted any photos, or their asking price, but I thought it might be of interest to someone here.

Lexus Specs for this VIN: JT8BD69S420172523 in the attached PDF.

Exclamation WOW - Was Serviced at Lexus Dealership

This car is one to check out!
It was serviced at Lexus Dealerships its whole life including as recently as 3/2019 when the car had 85,924 miles.
The attached Service Records also show the Timing Belt and Water Pump was done 11/2016 when the car had 75,063 miles, though no comment on Cam or Crank Seals.

Good low mileage car, but there isn’t anything especially about this car, especially for $7k. Paying a premium for a low mileage 18 year old car is a recipe for disaster.

You can have your opinion (everyone has the right), but I am of the mindset that paying a little more for a car that was; a one owner car, and routinely serviced (at a Lexus Dealership), is worth a $1k to $2k premium.
It shows the previous owner cared for the car and was willing to pay to have it serviced.
Add in the timing belt and water pump (in 2015) which would cost $1,000 to $1,500 within the past 15,000 miles.
To me this is a well priced car, assuming the pictures and an inspection does not reveal any major issues.

Yeah, I'm with flash on this. People always go "ughhh so expensive, you can get these for $3k", then they're in here with a bunch of electrical problems, suspension shaking itself apart, faded paint, trashed seats, opaque headlights...

If I didn't want to waste time reverting a high mileage car to decent condition before modding it, I'd definitely cough up an extra 4k or so and spare myself the headache. If someone seriously wants a good condition GS, they'll have to pay at least that much fixing up a cheaper one, or they'll have to compromise on something else.

True, everyone has their opinions, but a well maintained GS300 at 150-160k is just as valuable as the car you referenced...and you’ll save a few thousands...but I see where you’re coming from. If it was a low mileage 03 SD with saddle or a 05 GS430 with black interior, then I would entertain it because it’s rare. At that mileage, all suspension parts will need replacing. I could care less if it’s one owner or multiple owners, as long as the car has been maintained properly, that’s all that matters. I don’t take my car to the dealer anymore for obvious reasons, but my car is a well maintained example at 170k. I can’t sell it because it will continue to be my daily, especially when I pull the trigger on a W222.

If you buy a trashed GS for 1-3k that has all of those issues prior to forking out the cash, why would they complain afterwards? I agree, we see those threads all the time, but that buyer knows exactly what their getting before they drive away with the car lol. I will say since that car is priced at $7k, the potential buyer should be able to pay $5.5k, especially since this model isn’t in high demand anymore. I guarantee they didn’t get more than $3k for the trade in.

Odd that the dealer doesn't list it as a Sport Design package from what I read. If there's no rust, I'd pay 6k for this easy.

It is an Audi Dealership, so they probably do not even know what the SportDesign Package is.
As for rust, it did spend its whole life in NJ, but only averaged 5,000 miles a year, so maybe it was not driven in snow and ice.

Again - Photos and an Inspection is really needed.

I don't think it's that bad of a price. More than I'd be willing to spend, but it's a dealership after all. You always pay a premium from a dealer. Private seller, sure, a good $1-2G's cheaper. But why would the dealer even mess with it if there's no profit to be made? It's for that guy that just has to have a pristine 2GS and has the money and been keeping his eye out for the cleanest, lowest mileage one possible. Might not be people lining up for it, but I'm sure they know it will sell fairly easily.

Simple bud. Selling a $40-60k Audi > $2-3k GS trade in value. Even if the car sits on the lot for 1-2 years, the Audi that left the lot makes it worth it. They’ll make a profit on the GS, even if they lowered the price to $5k.

Very nice find. I wouldn't pay more than around 5K for the car though and think you could probably negotiate with Audi down to around 6K. Sitting inventory is not in the dealership's interest so after 90 days, they may just take it to an auction and get 4-5K for it. My worry would be all the suspension parts since they go bad with age and mileage no matter what the mileage and other problems like. I'm doing the same as Saiyan; keeping it as a daily until I find that car I want to drive on the weekends or a little more. With my car, I'm just scared of an accident happening because a chance of total loss is higher since ins. companies like to go with book value. lol

That depends on what you're going for. Start putting money in one and the 2jz will become the better bang for buck real quick lol.

Yeah, this car appears a ways from a cherry example. Low mileage and she does appear washed though.
Price already dropped $200. Wish it had a rear lip spoiler.
Seems destined for the auto auction.
