Default Inaccurate Oil Reading

so i have a 1999 lexus gs300 and recently I replaced the Oil Control Valve because it was leaking oil and I was losing quite a bit of oil. I refilled some oil because the level got dangerously low. So after replacing it I noticed the oil leak is gone as I have not found any oil dripping or pooling in my garage but my dipstick shows it is almost empty. Where else would this oil go? I checked it when the car was cold as well as warmed up - no differnece. I'm afriad to add additional oil in case it overflows but I am just stressed about driving the car now. is this a dipstick issue or is my car actually leaking more oil? for reference the car is in tiptop shape, no check engine lights and handles beautifully.

Always keep it in the safety zone. In the crosshatch area or between the two holes (however your stick looks). I'd definitely get it topped off one more time and then keep an eye on it.
