You will need to provide more information to get any useful help, your post is way to generic.
what exactly is the car doing when you try to start it. Does it unlock and lock? Does the dash light up? Does the engine turn over but not catch? Does it just click when you try to start it?

I see you created another thread yesterday that has more detail. and I’ve merged it with this one
was you car on a trickle charger during that year? Did you have fuel stabilizer in the tank?
did you try a new battery or to jumpstart the car? That’s step one.

Gas goes bad if it sits, if only a year it’ll likely work but sometimes can be the issue
start with a new battery. Be careful to keep the positive and negative straight and not mix them up when you replace it.

- It has been sitting for a year? If you really care about it, you probably should pull the plugs and pour a little oil into each cylinder to ensure there is some fresh lubricant on the cylinder walls and help the rings loosen up. I usually go this extra step when it’s a vehicle I care about, but it’s probably overkill for most people. Let it sit for a day if possible and be prepared for some smoke when u fire it up.
- And the gas will almost certainly be bad, it’s pretty hard to drain the gas on newer vehicles but depending on what the gas gauge reads, you can usually get away with adding at least the same amount of fresh gas, or more, and you’ll be able to get it to fire up and run, possibly a little rough til the bad gas is gone.
And I would advice u not to use starting fluid on anything more complex than a lawn mower. A fuel injected engine should fire up pretty quick if it’s got gas in it, and the battery is strong. Starter fluid can crack a piston if u get carried away with it. If it doesn’t start with a new battery and 5 gallons of fresh gas, then you probably have a bad fuel pump or something and will need to be diagnosed by a professional.
